As with many companies, Harmony first started as an idea. In this case, the idea behind the Harmony Buckle™ was to offer a sturdy, reliable, easy to use, durable, and aesthetically pleasing alternative to existing plastic buckles. The original idea was to design a belt with a unique buckle that would be marketed to the beach/active lifestyle market. In the spring of 1987, the design for the original Harmony Buckle was perfected, and patents applied for. We've been in business since 1989. Harmony has always kept the Harmony Buckle proprietary, and we've only sold it as part of a final product.  Ironically, the belts never really took off, but our Harmony Bracelets were our first successful product.  Later, our Harmony Cat Collars caught on, and they're still very popular.
